Following Christ

Being a Christian is an identity, not a religion. It means we have decided to follow Christ as a disciple. Discipleship is all about discipline - choosing to learn everything the Teacher can possibly teach and observing everything the Teacher does in order to emulate it. A few years ago, the Church came up with the WWJD movement in an attempt to bring this to the forefront.

Following Christ isn’t about following a bunch of rules and not sinning - that’s religion. Following Christ is about being filled with the Spirit and the Word to a point where your will becomes God’s will for you instead of your own desires.
