We all put on a show sometimes - pretending we like something or someone, holding back our true feelings (good or bad), or doing what is expected even if you know it’s not the right thing...
The Pharisees in the Bible were like this - always putting on a show to get recognition and honor, even while their hearts were cold towards God.
Our churches are full of people like this too. Those looking for recognition for their good deeds and hard work for the kingdom rather than doing what God created them to do. We all have a role in the church and work to do for the kingdom, but God looks at our hearts.
