Do You Mean It?

I’m pretty sure that we’ve all prayed the Lord’s Prayer a few times. But do you think about what you’re praying for?

When we are praying for God’s kingdom to come - we are praying for God to have His way here, for the Church to serve their communities and to spread the Gospel everywhere. That includes you, by the way - were praying for each and every believer to rise up and BE Christ to one another.

When we pray for God’s will to be done, we are putting our wills (desires, problems, etc) aside to focus on what God wants, not what we do. Does God want us to be focused on politics or on people? Does God care if someone is Liberal or Conservative? Does He care if someone is rich or poor? His will is for us all to serve one another, always. Not when it’s convenient, but all of the time.
