For a Little While

Jesus told us plainly that following Him would include suffering when He told us to “take up our cross.” But suffering gives you power if you’re following Him and not fighting against His work in your life.

“Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.” James‬ ‭1:2-4‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Joy is the response to have when we are having to endure and persevere through trouble and suffering, because of the prize - eternal life and freedom from sin!
