Gentleness and respect. Have you been experiencing these qualities much lately from Christians? Or have you seen your brothers and sisters in Christ fighting about politics and culture or masks and vaccines? The early Christians had political and cultural issues to deal with too. We see it throughout the letters of the New Testament, just like in this verse from Peter’s first letter.


1st Corinthians tells us to Love one another - do EVERYTHING in love, if you don’t, it’s worthless and doesn’t matter. But it does matter if you say (or post) something that is divisive or accusatory, because the others who are watching and listening will judge the church and other Christians based on it. So let’s be kind - with gentleness and respect, let’s be salt and light rather than pepper and judgmental.
