Jesus wanted us to experience joy, real, overflowing joy and maybe even happiness! He wanted us to have fun. I’m sure that our heavenly Daddy wants to see His kids having fun, enjoying the earth He created just for them. Jesus even said this in John 10:10: “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.“
God wants us to have a full life, not a dreary one. Jesus went to parties and laughed. He wasn’t so serious all the time and neither should we be. “Don’t be sad, because the joy of the Lord will make you strong.” Nehemiah 8:10
