Your heart is a complicated place. Our dreams and desires, loves and losses, hopes and fears are all there competing for influence. Bringing them all into submission to God’s truth is a struggle, but it is part of our daily mission as believers - disciples of Christ. This is one of the reasons we need to be in the Word - so it will BE in us. This is how God teaches us to follow Him, to bring our heart into a place where it’s not torn in different directions all the time.
