Our God and Father says to us, “I'd rather for you to be faithful and to know me than to offer sacrifices.” in Hosea 6:6. Yet, how often are we trying to do stuff to please Him when all He wants is for us to spend time with Him? Time to open our hearts to Him without trying to hide our motives, disappointments, fears and hopes.
I think sometimes we aren’t just afraid of opening ourselves up to God, but it’s our own selves we are hiding the truth from. We often don’t want to look at our motives, disappointments, fears, failures, hopes and dreams. We’d rather be busy with stuff because it’s easier...even if it exhausts us. Today, make sure you take time just to be open with God who just wants to know you and be known by you because He loves you.
