God’s ways are not our ways (Isaiah 58:8) and His plans would blow our minds - we simply cannot comprehend what He has planned for each of our lives. So, how often do you seek Him for just the next step in His plan for you, instead of asking for the whole plan?
We have many examples of this in the Bible - like Esther, and yet we are still trying to get God to download the whole program for us. We need to follow Him step by step to His destiny for us. It’s a journey we take for our whole lives, not just for one season or to reach one destination.
Rich Mullins said it best:
O God, You are my God
And I will ever praise You
O God, You are my God
And I will ever praise You
And I will seek You in the morning
And I will learn to walk in Your ways
And step by step You'll lead me
And I will follow You all of my days
