Jesus gets us. Have you seen the advertisements about this? They are poignant examples of how Jesus endured the same kinds of injustice and suffering that we do, and that He is with us as we go through it. So many times, we ask Him to “fix it.” But that isn’t what He promised. He said He would be with us through it all and that we would most assuredly experience trouble in this life. He also told us to hold fast and take heart because He had overcome this fallen world. That’s why He did what He did - it was for us!
