In our efforts to be and do all that God created us to be and do, we need to be careful not to focus on our actions and works. It’s the light of Christ and the Holy Spirit within us that makes our relationship with God attract others to Him. What we do is a reflection of our relationship, not the main point. In our culture, we get caught up in achievements and the idea that we have to earn things - and we do in some cases - but this doesn’t apply to our relationship with the Lord. Our human nature also wants to be in control of how things are going to be done, this is also something we have to let go of when we are walking on the path God as set before us. Walk as children of the light!
