I need to do better at this. I mean there is loving your neighbor by making small talk when you see them walking the dog or at the store and asking about their family, and there is love when you find out they’re struggling and you get involved in their pain. In our culture, we don’t usually do that - we figure it’s not our place and that a close friend or family member should be doing that. But we are salt and light, the light of the world and maybe the only one equipped by the Holy Spirit to bring the Light of the World into their situation. How many times have I missed the mark on this... I don’t know, but I’m going to do better. If we all did this, our culture and our country might change...
