Remembering Pastor Tim Keller today. In the past 4 years I’ve used several quotes from him in this daily devo - today I want to talk about what it means to be like Jesus. When he encountered the woman at the well or the woman caught in adultery, he showed them kindness and compassion and a new path they could choose. He didn’t condemn them. This is our example of how to treat people living sinful lives. Jesus told us that our love needed to show the same kind of strength as His love:
“So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”” John 13:34-35 NLT
What do we prove when we hate or shun others? …When we are haughty or angry? …or when we’re aloof and don’t care?
