This is the essence of what it means to “walk by faith and not by sight” from 2 Corinthians 5:7. We must acknowledge that what we can see and touch, what our emotions are telling us, and sometimes screaming at us, is not as true and real as what God says in His word and by His Spirit.

Trusting God this way is key to discipleship, and we are all called to be disciples of Christ. In fact, the great commission says:

“Go, then, to all peoples everywhere and make them my disciples: baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit,” Matthew 28:19

So many times we think the goal is to get people to accept Christ - this isn’t bad, but the goal is supposed to be to make them disciples like you are. So, are you following Christ like a disciple? Are you growing in Godliness? Are you loving the unlovable, serving the poor, reaching out to the hungry? This kind of faith is my challenge each day...what about you? #discipleship #walkbyfaith #BEthechurch #humility #grace #childofgod #shalom #onespiritonechurch #dailydevotional
