Attitude of Gratitude

I think we can all think of someone who thinks they’re a wise because they’re a “realist.” They don’t think positively- they “see the stark reality.” They’re usually not thankful or pleasant people to be around because they complain and have a pessimistic outlook about most everything.

Living a life of faith doesn’t work very well when you focus on the reality of our broken world. No duh! The world IS broken - that’s why Jesus did what He did to save us. But the reality is that we are children of God - He DID save us and we get to live eternally with the Lord. The Lord will come again and make these right for eternity. We have SO much to be thankful for - make sure you focus on those things like It says in Philippians 4:8:

“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”
