How many of us Christians have stopped growing in a Christ? A Christian, by definition, is “a follower” or disciple of Christ. That means we are perpetually students of our Teacher, continually learning and growing in our relationship with the Lord. If that is t a description of you, then I must ask you - what are you going to do about it?
Of course, we have responsibilities and most of us aren’t being asked to leave and follow like the 12 Disciples were asked by Jesus - but, if Jesus asked you to do that, would you? He didn’t ask anyone with children to support, but He did ask Simon, who was married and whose wife must have been pretty supportive after Jesus healed her mother.
What IS the Lord asking of you? More time in devotion, prayer or worship? What has He called you to? If you don’t know, then you definitely should be asking Him. Unless you’re content with just being on the fringe of the Church and of the Lord’s people.
