This isn’t just good advice, it’s your way out of darkness.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭6‬ ‭

Being thankful and counting your blessings is a powerful weapon against fear and anxiety. Our Lord and Savior doesn’t want us to be afraid. The Bible is filled with God telling us,

“Don’t be afraid!”

“Fear not!”

“Do not fear.”

“Don’t let your heart be troubled.”

Over and over again, our God, who is more powerful than anything we’re worried about, reassures is and tells us not to let fear overwhelm us. That means there is a way to combat fear and anxiety - and it’s gratitude! So thank God over and over about everything you can all day, even if you’re anxious. It’s not magic, it’s to build you up and bring you closer into God’s heart where things are clearer and you’re protected.
