This is an important lesson to learn. When God sent Abraham to sacrifice his son Isaac, Abraham obeyed but God didn’t let him succeed. It’s about faith not results. Our culture teaches us that it’s ok to do whatever it takes to achieve your goal or succeed. That’s not what the Bible teaches though. Is there an are of your life where success and achievement have become more important to you than they should be? This has the danger of becoming an idol in your life, and it can lead you to be unfaithful to God.
