“As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” Proverbs 23:7
The Scriptures spend a lot of time telling us what to think, not to be bossy or because God is controlling, but for our benefit! When you let yourself think about things that bring you down or lead you away from the Lord and His truth, purposes and plans (His Will), you will stray from His path of righteousness and protection. It could even effect your health and relationships in a negative way.
But if you train yourself (discipleship = discipline and training) to: “Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.“ Philippians 4:8-9
Thinking thoughts that are pleasing and glorifying to God - and He knows your thoughts - brings you peace: Shalom, wholeness, health, joy, purpose, fulfillment, and love. #thinkonthesethings #shalom #prace #wholeness #yourjourneytobeingwhole #discipleship #asamanthinketh #dailydevotional
