Let It Shine!

Jesus shared this name with us - Light of the World. He doesn’t share any of His other names with us though, so this is pretty significant! He came to bring light in the darkness and now it’s our job. Are we shiny the light of grace and truth wherever we go? Or, are we selective about when we let it shine?

Pastor @chuck.foreman.71 challenged me yesterday to really think about this. Are there situations and circumstances when I don’t let my light shine? Do I try to cover it even though Jesus lit this light and also said, ”No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.” Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭15‬-‭16‬ ‭
