I’ve always loved this verse and considered it before I lead worship or played for the Lord - but I thought of it in a new way this week. Part of prayer is worship and this week I earnestly and honestly prayed through some anger and offense with the Lord about something that happened at work. It wasn’t pretty, but it was the truth about how I felt and what I was thinking. Of course, God already knew it all anyway, but my conscious decision to lay it at His feet, “vent” a little to Him instead of someone else (which would’ve been gossipy), was a beautiful thing. God helped heal the offense and anger and gave me peace. Pastor Aldo used to teach us this all the time, “don’t let the offense against you become sin in you.”
