Love isn’t so much a feeling but an action too. Jesus was clear about what He wanted us to do: “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”” John 13:34-35
@drtonyevans summed up the action of love so perfectly - “to compassionately and righteously seek the well being of another.” It’s not about feeling attracted and connected, it’s about what you do whether you feel anything or not… even if your feelings say no. Sometimes it is the act of sincerely praying for an enemy, sometimes it means you get emotional when you don’t want to, sometimes it’s inconvenient, sometimes it’s hard, but it’s always what Jesus would do and is doing for you and through you.
