Some were designed to manipulate my decisions and actions, and some succeeded. Others were to stop me from doing something God wanted me to do, and some succeeded. The good news is that some didn’t succeed. When I learned to run them through the filter of God’s word and prayer, I was able to identify the lies and discern the truth more often. I wish I could say I always can, but that would be a lie too.
The devil is the father of lies and he is very, very good at it. He’s had centuries of practice to hone his craft - but we have the Holy Spirit and infinite wisdom of God living within us. God will always give you His wisdom when you ask! “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.”
