Prayer is one of the greatest privileges and biggest responsibilities we have as followers of Christ - disciples. It’s also where I see many of us just “go through the motions” like a chore or duty.
When you pray, remember that God is your Daddy, Jesus is your Brother and Holy Spirit is your Helper. You can’t forget that your Daddy is the king of the universe, but He loves you like a daddy. Jesus is the savior of the world and He died for you; he really knows how life on earth feels and has compassion for you. And the Holy Spirit is HOLY, and isn’t going to help you sin.
God does so much for us, we have so much to be thankful for - like that we can even read and write. Most humans don’t have that luxury. Turn to God with a grateful heart. Practice gratitude, and if you are in a place where it’s difficult to be thankful, ask Him to help you.
