I’ve talked about this before, but since God is good all the time, we should keep talking about it. This is actually a concept that I struggled with for a long time. So many bad things happened that down deep in my heart, I didn’t believe that He was really good for a while. I wanted to, I had faith that He was in control, so why would He allow so much pain and suffering?
Looking back I can see His work in those situations- and I can see the spiritual battles that were occurring. Not all we’re won at the time, and some will need to be fought again. But God is good because He never leaves me to fight alone. He never gives up on me even if I give up He doesn’t. “He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.” Psalms 23:2-3
