Being First

This concept goes against everything the world tells us...

“Bigger is better!”

“You’ve gotta win!”

“Don’t be a loser!”

Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with hard work and achievement, it’s just not as important to God as it is to us.. And we need to be cautious that we don’t wrap up our identity in our work or achievements because our identity is in Christ, and Him crucified.

We are children of God, justified and made righteous because Jesus humbled Himself to be human and be tortured and killed for us. We don’t deserve it and we didn’t earn it. We receive it because of God’s love and grace. That’s it.

So the last will be first and the first will be last. To be great, you must be humble and full of compassion for others. #thelastshallbefirst #humility #childofgod #discipleship #Godseconomy #shalom #yourjourneytobeingwhole #dailydevotional
