Oftentimes we are working so hard to do what God called us to do that we stop being who He created us to be.
God creates us to be close to Him like a child is with a loving daddy. He want us to be His friend - walking and talking with Him daily. He wants true intimacy with us so that others will see Him when they look at you. If we’re working so hard and not making time to be close with the Lord - praying, talking, worshipping - then you need to force yourself to stop. STOP. Even if the tyranny of the urgent is overwhelming you. Father God isn’t going to be tyrannical, He is waiting for you and He has the power to calm all of the demands on your time when you put Him first. You aren’t neglecting anything to do this, you’re actually following Gods will.
