Believe in Yourself?

The world tells us to believe in ourselves, to trust ourselves, and build up our self images. Why?

It sounds like it’s good and healthy to do this. But it’s doomed - because you know better than anyone else that you fail. You may do pretty good, but you have weaknesses - maybe you lose your temper, eat more than you should, drink more than you should... you get the idea. This makes trusting in our selves a little problematic. I can trust that I’ll do my best, but that my best won’t always be good enough - that’s the truth.

But God is different. He never fails. He always does what is best, even if it hurts a little - His way is always the best way. Put ALL of your trust in Him not in yourself or in other people. #mygodwillneverfail #goodgoodfather #iamweak #discipleship #childofgod #trustingodalone #shalom #onespiritonechurch #dailydevotional
