Betrayed

When someone betrays you, how do you respond? Do you get even? Do you get angry and say terrible things to them? Do you tell everyone about how they did you wrong??

In this world you will be betrayed. It is inevitable because people are naturally selfish and inherently evil - that’s why we need redemption and why Jesus came. We need His Holy Spirit to help us to fight against our selfish sin nature.

Perhaps the greatest example of love Jesus gave us was how He lived Judas. He knew Judas would betray Him, He knew He was stealing, He knew it all! And yet, Jesus discipled him, loved him, did ministry with him and loved him until the time of betrayal came. At that moment they were separated, but Jesus forgave him. What a great example for us - you can forgive your betrayer and remain separated- or you can reconcile. But the forgiveness part is mandatory. #forgiveness #theywillknowusbyourlove #walkinthespirit #christianliving #discipleship #shalom #yourjourneytobeingwhole #dailydevotional
