When you surrender your heart to Jesus and He saves you and covers you with grace and mercy, you become a child of God. Adopted in with access to the King of the Universe anytime, anywhere. And our Savior and Father give us the Holy Spirit to help us walk through this broken world, but He doesn’t take away our freedom to choose in any way.
We are set free from slavery to sin, but we can choose to sin or turn away from God anytime we want to. This is why we need to pray without ceasing. Not just for protection from evil, but protection from our own human nature. For wisdom to make decisions and discernment and guidance as we navigate our own journeys of faith.
O Lord help me to follow you and keep in step with you and your will and purpose for me this day. Amen.
