You are called and chosen by God on purpose and for a purpose. He covers you with HIS righteousness and gives you HIS glory, it’s not about you and your desires, it’s about Him. It’s not for you, it’s for His kingdom and you get to help.
All of that said, God cares about you and for you in the deepest way possible! His love for you causes Him to bless you with good things and joy. When we walk with Him, our desires align with His purposes and plans and He anoints you and prepares you for them - just as Samuel anointed David king, long before it was going to actually happen because David’s desire was for God.
