From The Ashes

You know how some quotes just stick with you for ever? Today as I read a devotional by Zim Flores, I was reminded of something Beth Moore said years ago, a promise I’ve held onto in some very dark times, “God will never allow a fire from which He cannot bring beauty out of the ashes.”


I’ve seen the truth in this, I’ve watched tragedies be turned around into triumph. I’ve seen light shine through terrible darkness and I’ve seen Gods faithfulness overcome great loss. God never changes, and His promises are always true.


“To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.””
