How many times have you tried to work on “your fruit.” I mean, trying to work on self-control for example, or to be more patient and gentle with someone? I have on many occasions. But, that’s not really how it works! You can work on your character, but you can’t work on the fruit of the Spirit. The fruit grows because of your relationship and fellowship WITH the Holy Spirit. Like any fruit, it grows naturally because of its environmental factors.
