Honoring

I read this translation of Proverbs 16:3, and was struck by the impact of the word “Honor” rather than “commit.” So many times we have a goal or dream and we commit it to the Lord… but this goal is for our self, not to honor God. Then we’re discouraged because God doesn’t bless it.

I bet you can think of times like this in your own life. What I commit to God must first honor Him and be HIS will, not mine.
