Our response to God determines our future.
If we reject His way of doing things, we are responding with rebellion and we can say we love Him and believe in Him, but we are not following Him...in John 14:15 Jesus said, “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.”
If we are lukewarm, then our faith is weak and wavering. We want Jesus in our lives, but we’re not willing to give our lives to Him and live for His purposes. Lukewarm people emphasize that God gave them free will, and don’t often surrender their will to Him and rely on their own strength and abilities.
If you believe that God is who He says He is and that He is able to do all that He says He will do, and you love Him wholeheartedly, then you will follow Him in faith. Prayer becomes your lifeline and you learn to walk with the Holy Spirit.
