There are lots of wise sayings about looking back instead of moving forward, but the cliches aren’t God’s word. God emphatically tells us to keep going, to stop looking back, and to persevere. He compares our lives with running a race, and we can finish well… or not.
“I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.” Philippians 3:14
God uses the stuff we go through to prepare us for what we’re going to do, no matter what the devil may have intended. There are obstacles and trials that we must overcome, but we’re not alone in doing so - we have help! We are supposed to move on!
Many times I here people say that they were too tired to keep going. That they’ve done this or that for Christ and now they’re resting and just enjoying His blessings.
