Kingdom Minded

Yes, this is a quote from a movie - but if you think about it, it’s true. Jesus taught us to be kingdom-minded not earthly-centered. He said that the Kingdom of God is here and what we do matters. We must love others and show them the love of the Father as ambassadors of Christ. In Matthew 25, Jesus tells us about the final judgment and what it will hinge on:

”“Then the good people will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and give you food, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you alone and away from home and invite you into our house? When did we see you without clothes and give you something to wear? When did we see you sick or in prison and care for you?’ “Then the King will answer, ‘I tell you the truth, anything you did for even the least of my people here, you also did for me.’“ Matthew‬ ‭25‬:‭37‬-‭40‬ ‭NCV‬‬

Jesus also has also taught us, ”Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.“ Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭19‬-‭21‬ ‭NLT‬‬

@johnbevere wrote a great book about this, Driven By Eternity. I read it years ago and it really changed my perspective on life. #beeternityminded #drivenbyeternity #thykingdomcome #BEthechurch #discipleship #shalom #yourjourneytobeingwhole #dailydevotional
