Motives

How often do you examine your own motives? I know you consider the motives of others... and judge them. Those same “others” are looking at your motives too, and judging them. Are they selfish, noble, compassionate or angry? Are they protective and based in fear, or they wise and based on truth?

Have you asked God to help you with your motivation for your actions - your “why”? Have you asked for a heart of grace and compassion that will be moved like Jesus’s heart was moved, understand like His heart understood and loved like He loved?

Do it today! “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.” Psalms‬ ‭51:10-12‬ ‭#justdoit #motivatedbylove #discipleship #BEthechurch #loveoneanother #theywillknowusbyourlove #wwjd #shalom #yourjourneytobeingwhole #dailydevotional
