We look for all kinds of ways to live as Christians but we tend to over look the fundamental way: obedience. I hear, “Jesus is the fulfillment of the law so we don’t follow the law, we follow grace,” or some kind of variation of this. But that’s not what Jesus said. He said, “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.” John 14:15
Simple truth, impossible to walk through without His help - so, in the next verse, Jesus said, “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.” John 14:16-17
Jesus wants YOU. All of you. Your whole heart, mind, will and emotions.
