God never stops working on our hearts and souls. It’s not a “one and done” when we get saved. True, we get a new heart in exchange for our old one - which is an amazing miracle in itself, but then the King of the Universe, Lord of all Lords, Holy and Mighty Spirit and our Father is intimately involved in our lives to help us, bless us, and fulfill us.
He lets us go through the fires and the storms so that we can live up to the power and potential that He creates in us, so that we can love others more completely and trust Him more fully. He allows us to experience injustice and grief so that we can glimpse what He sees and feels and so that we can minister to others with more empathy and compassion.
