Have you ever really thought about the power of kind words. We talk a lot about the power of negative words, mean-spirited, bullying and abusive words - but the reverse is just as powerful. Our words can build or tear down - and their effects often last a lifetime.
Kind words bring healing - not just to the person receiving them, but I believe, even to ourselves. Showing kindness is showing love - and it’s even more powerful when we give it to someone who cannot repay us. This is true love, Christ-like love.
It’s not easy to show kindness and love to people who are being ugly - but “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.” Proverbs 15:1
