Seeking Wisdom

“Get wisdom; develop good judgment.

Don’t forget my words or turn away from them.”

How do we get wisdom? From God, obviously, but also from people who we can see are wise. So when you learn something from God or His word, or a lesson from a teacher or pastor – really learn it! Purposefully – not passively.

“Don’t turn your back on wisdom, for she will protect you.

Love her, and she will guard you.”

Ask God to help you keep this wisdom in your heart. And then listen to the inner voice of Wisdom and the Holy Spirit when you think twice! God is trying to protect you from making the wrong choices and bad decisions. Don’t dismiss it or neglect it or ignore it.

“Getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do!

And whatever else you do, develop good judgment.” Proverbs 4:5-7 NLT

Wisdom comes from God and when we exercise it, we can develop good judgment. According to this Scripture, it’s really important- “ABOVE ALL ELSE” makes it one of our highest priorities. Is it yours?
