Jesus often greeted His followers and others by saying “Shalom.” This is still the custom in Hebrew, and it’s used like we say “Hello” or “goodbye.” In the Bible it is usually translated “Peace,” but this only a small part of what it means... it actually means so much more.
Shalom actually means whole, complete, with nothing missing and nothing broken. It’s a blessing that Jesus spoke over His people and still speaks over us. This is what God wants for us - what His plan is for us. The road is often bumpy, but God’s purpose is for you to be complete, the way He made you.
My new book is available now, Shalom- Nothing Missing Nothing Broken | How to Be Whole in a Broken World.
