You’ve probably heard the Joyce Meyer quote, “Going to church doesn’t make you a Christian any more than standing in a garage makes you a car.” Acting like a Christian without a personal relationship with Jesus that includes your surrendering you life to Him for the gift of His grace and salvation is not enough. Jesus wants your heart first, good works flow out of that heart that belongs to Christ.
There are way too many people who are using their strength to be “good people.” Jesus said that none of us are good, only God is good. So we need to belong to Hod to be a part of HIS goodness.
