When you follow Jesus, you begin an epic journey of discipleship- at least that is the plan He has for you. How many times do we get off the path, though? God only knows how many times I have… we all do because we’re human. But, God’s grace is enough for us just like it was for the 12 disciples. They got “off”too.
The secret to being able to get back in the path of discipleship is abiding and remaining in Him. Don’t let go of Him - even when you’re rebelling. Don’t stop going to church when you feel like it doesn’t matter. It matters. Pray even when you know you aren’t worthy of being listened to (we were never worthy anyway). My most frequent prayer for myself and for you is that we would be and do all that the Lord has purposed for us to be and do.
“So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:11
