Thinking

What perspective do you use when you think about things? A heavenly perspective - in light of eternity? Or an earthly perspective - thinking about circumstances? This is a hard thing to fathom. For example, when we are parenting our children, what’s more important to us - that they do what we ask them to and are obedient, or that they develop a relationship with us (as their first understanding of God the Father) that is full of trust and so that they want to do what is pleasing to you. The first way is common and can lead to rebellion, the second is more difficult because it requires the parent to walk in the Spirit and show the fruits of the Spirit.

When you build people up and take the time to spend with God in the secret place, you are better able to set you heart on the things of heaven throughout the rest of your day. The things of earth will be shouting for your attention, while heaven is in your heart singing silently. #justdoit #setyourmindonthingsabove #christianliving #faith #walkinthespirit #shalom #onespiritonechurch #dailydevotional
