We learn the skill of waiting from a very early age - even while we’re crying to have our diaper changed. By the time we get to Kindergarten, we know how to wait in line for our turn to do things, or just to move from one activity to another. Waiting is a skill we have to learn, it definitely doesn’t come naturally...


Our Father God teaches us this skill too. Scripture echos the phrase, “wait on the Lord,” and tells us “Those who wait in the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)
