God teaches us this at different times and in different ways in the Bible. There’s the story of Gideon, who was hiding and trying to sift a little wheat. God called Him a “Mighty Man of Valor” even while he wasn’t acting like one. Then the Lord led him in battle with only 300 men to defeat Midian - the oppressor that had Gideon so afraid in the first place.
Paul teaches us that “Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” II Corinthians 12:10
Our weaknesses help us rely on God. When we learn to do this, His strength shines through and our faith and courage grows. It’s a win-win, as long as we can swallow our pride and put our trust in the Lord, not our own abilities. Embarking on Your Journey to Being Whole takes this kind of step-by-step faith and courage. #youvegotthis
