Peter is our proof of this. He made a lot of mistakes, he put his foot in his mouth, and he loved Jesus. When Jesus came back, He asked Peter three times, “Do you love me?” and made His point that Peter was still the rock upon which Jesus would build the Church, Peter was still called and chosen by God and his passion and love for God we’re the most important thing.
