Each of us was created to serve, but we get to choose who we serve, Jesus said, ““Anyone who isn’t with me opposes me, and anyone who isn’t working with me is actually working against me.” Luke 11:23 NLT
Our human nature doesn’t like the black and white situation that Jesus is stating. Our nature wants to live in the gray area, but the Lord wants to make our hearts pure and blameless, with the pollution of this world and its ways washed away. We get to choose between God’s path or the alternative every day, multiple times a day. It’s a way of life that He empowers us to follow. But we can choose not to, and His purposes will still be fulfilled.
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10
